DESCRIPTION: These are 4 Reasons to be Excited About Web Design and development. This is half an assignment I had to do and half me just rambling for about 600 to 700 words about my class.
THE FUTURE!!!
If you think about it, we’ve advanced to a point where technology is now just straight-up magic. We live in a day and age where we can talk to people around the world just with the press of a button. Technology has gotten to the point where I can hop into a video game and play as Joker and fight a 1v1 against the Master Chief. And it’s not just communication or media entertainment, we have technology that can protect us from home invasions, weather disasters, and animal attacks all without human input! I can now control a fan without actually being in the same room as the fan (which makes for some hilarious pranks). And holy cow the website industry! We can now make websites without the knowledge of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript. Heck, I’m using one of these tools right now. The world we live in has advanced so much and we should be excited about this year. Hence this new tech is one of the many reasons to be excited about Web Design and development
Things to Talk About
There’s always been something to discuss in Web since this is a media-based class. And, thankfully, recent news brings up a lot of stuff for the class to talk about this year. I love talking about this stuff with people since it provides a unique perspective on certain topics. It also allows the classroom to find people with the same interests as themselves (aka helps people make friends). In other words, it helps you understand people more, so that way you’re able to make connections with them.
New Things to Learn This Year
I know this one should be an obvious reason to be excited about Web Design & Development to most people reading this post (and it is), but A. It’s a good topic to add in here, and B. I need to make this post longer to get full credit on the assignment. So let’s go! This year, specifically from state standards what I’ve read from the pamphlet that was handed out, we’ll learn about how to make websites and publish content for a website, mobile devices, and tablets. I think this year will be very important for Web due to this being Mr. Choate’s first time teaching in this classroom. We’ll also be learning more about careers this year that are specifically relevant to this class. This will help us better understand the careers that we can go into after graduating high school.
Hands-on Projects
This year will have a more hands-on approach to website design and development. This way we can better understand how to use coding and put it to good use in the real world. What this entails is less of a handholding way of teaching and a more finding-out-your-own-way style of teaching. This means that we will have to find our own way so that we can get a better understanding of how to code. I honestly like this because it will allow us to memorize certain things instead of just bumbling around trying to find the right button to press.
Conclusion
And there it is, four reasons why you should be excited about this year in general. Of course, there are other things to get excited about for this year, and some of you might disagree. But the important thing is that you feel comfortable and excited for the new year so that way you can be ready for anything that it throws at you.
